WEEK 7: TURF MONSTERS TOP LEAGUE STANDINGS

After 7 weeks of Victoria Field Lacrosse League action, the standings look a little different the normal. The Turf Monsters now sit atop of the VFLL standings with an almost unblemished record. The reason for the change in the Monsters record for the most-part, is due to the offensive output of Ayden McDonald with a league leading 24 goals, 30 points (with a 6 points per game average) to propel the Turf Monsters up the standings.

Another reason for their tremendous success is because of their "wall", Bryan Toth has played sensationally in goal for the Monsters thus far earning himself a .739 save % (*league leader), 5 victories (*league lead) and has himself in a first place tie for saves with T. "Boss" Williams at 136.

The bikini clad boys... the Goal Diggers have shaken off their 1st game loss and have won 4 straight to put themselves in a 2nd place tie with the defending VFLL Champion Knights, but have a game in hand. New to the league this season is the Pacific Rim U18-1 team, referred to as the "kids". After posting 3 losses by narrow margins, the kids have strung together 2 straight and are in a 3rd place tie with the Plugs; shockingly... a team that can win on any given evening when they get good attendance but that is something they have lacked thus far. Rounding out the standings are the Phantom, who... on any given Saturday can play with any team but just haven't been able to put a good 60 minutes since the league opener.
